Life and times of a writer and (sometimes) photographer

So yeah yesterday at my afterschool gig i was gieven a digital camera to take home and test. It's for the Photography club i run on Fridays, which was a complete train wreck last session. Only some of the kids in the club seem really interested, while one "special" kid was what i would call a Demon seed. Anyhow i got some okay pics out of the 2.2 megapixel kodak.

Busy social life... I think i'm in that cycle again.
Busy social life... I think i'm in that cycle again.
Last night I went to the Remote
Lounge with a friend for the first time. For those who don't know what that is,
Remote Lounge is an experimental lounge/bar with cameras littered throughout.
And I felt like a big
kid in this voyeuristic romper room.
As I looked
at the console we
sat at, I began learning how to use the different controls, like the camera joystick that moved our and any of the other cameras we switched to; and buttons that allowed us to send a message to
someone at another console.
In regards to the message thing, every console had a phone that u could choose to pick up or not after someone buzzed u. My second attempt at speaking
to a girl was a bit more fruitful. The first girl was three with her bf. The girl
was very cute even as I looked at her
pick up the phone on the fuzzy screen. And after straining to speak to each other on the phone over the music
she thought it better that I
come over.
Meanwhile, My friend
was being harassed and desperately tried to call me. I guess she was in
horror and basically told the dude I was "with" her to get rid
of him. Anyhow, me and the girl chatted and I guess from these pictures -- here
and here
-- it would seem it was getting somewhere. Shortly thereafter, after watching my friend zone out on the girl's screen, i figured it must be time to go and i bid the girl farewell and give her one of my lovely "personal" cards. Hopefully, i will hear from her.
