Life and times of a writer and (sometimes) photographer

Koku is a jackass.

Anyhow, I have two new crushes. Today, one was newly-minted as i finally saw for a second time this female who works at a Chase I frequent in LI. I thought she was cute the first time she took care of me. However, today she did not take care of my banking needs, but i saw her walking around the office and saw her tallness. I also saw her glancing in my direction. But i am too self-deprecating to believe she was. But yes i must go there again very soon and leave my card with my number added to it.

*crosses fingers*

The second crush is... i don't know... some other time perhaps

KIDS

Yes they look cute -- like my Goddaughter above -- but there "evil" sides eclipse all the "cute appeal". Like the aforementioned kid above is like one of the worse kids i have ever had to babysit. listing her pain-the-ass actions:
-- Crocodile tears for no reason other than to get her way
-- Dennis the Menace-type actions like taking all the dry towels from the bathroom and wetting them with who knows what
-- Talking back to her grandma (who i consider a softie when it comes to disciplining her) and any other adult
-- A three-year-old should not be able to speak so freshly and in such a clear manner

My supervisor and behavior training coordinators at my afterschool job like to say that phrase: "Kids are not bad, they just do bad things." And they sure do a lot of bad things at that precious period between birth and crossing into preteen hood.

And tomorrow, we have our third Behavior Workshop with more discussion and ideas that I have to try to figure out how to implement more approaches to behavior control... I mean manage my 19 (2nd and 3rd grade) kids who range from being straight belligerent, hyper, smartasses, angels, and insecure rug rats.

Sometimes I want to just not deal with them and see whether they would miss me if I ditch them. Or would most be like "Yay Rich is gone! We get to have Rocio and Jessy (my aides who they seem to respect a little more then me)" So I do want to just up and leave when I ma trying to help them out but some want to always not go to me. Like I ma the bad cop and Jessy is the good cop.

I was ready to leave two months ago, but stuck it out, and I might stick out some more until I find a salary gig again.

Why is it when we are children we take the people who are around for us for granted? I already know the answer but it doesn’t stop me for feeling frustrated.

I can't wait to have that portrait photo that captures what this picture of singer Sia does (I DID Not Take This Picture).
That "it" picture. I have many that come close. That captures someone in that pose and face that will make anyone with or without an eye for photos go "ohh!"

An addendum: Kids can really suck.
