ATL circa 2002

Back from ATL

But since i never mentioned that i went this Memorial Day Weekend, it probably doesn't mean anything to whoever reads this.
This time I took to the road with two friends in a rental; And i had a revelation: i will never ever again take a 14-hour road trip unless i have no other choice.

But i did a lot more this time around in ATL, and bonded with my ATL people. I heart them very much so.

Okay the highlights for me:

Meeting two of my "crushes". The hell u say, Rich with crushes at his age. Ehh, whatever.

Hearing King Britt spin for the first time at MJQs, and dancing my but off in that giant basement of a venue.

Koku, Mareva & Co (*wink, wink), Dee, a more social Erin, etc. If i lived in ATL it would be on!

The liquor, especially the El Azteca frozen margaritas

But where is Tobias, my "token" friend. *sniff*

LAst Nite WAs Wonderful

Met her

Bumped into a load of folks, some surpised me, including my friend who told me earlier this week of his break up. But sure enough hew was there with his ex-fiance. Well, i got to ask him what had transpired.

Overall I am glad that i went despite not getting enough sleep this whole week (thanks to Steve's film shoot).

Strange, the word maktubp has been popping up in my life lately. First there is that Seattle-based group who I currently have up on my main page, that I discovered recently. Then i began reading The Alchemist last week, and this week i came across the word again being mentioend by the protagonist.

So what does it mean?

According to the sources I came across it's a classical Arabic word meaning
"it is written."

Anyway, my search also led to Paulo Coelh's (author of The Alchemist) website and a bunch of downloadable text files.

In all honesty, I don't know what to think of this. I'll let you know after i soak in Maktub's album and finish reading Alchemist.

TIME TO SING!

Finally, my site has been moved to a new server, after a week of trying to get so many small things changed, and is now up and running. I am geeked, this host is a lot more advanced, with subdomains, easy to create forums, and other Perl/cgi thingys.

PLUS I HAVE MESSAGE BOARDS
