The eight-year engagement

No they weren't engaged for eight years, but they were together for that long. And last night they, my college buddies Ami and Paul, finally "jumped the broom," in a fashion that raised the bar for any future wedding i go to. No the wedding wasn't flashy, it was small with only close family and friends.

I think what sealed it for me was Ami singing "You Put a Move on my Heart" by Tamia to Paul, and Paul singing Maxwell's "Whenever, Wherever, Whatever". This was that moment at the reception where i'm sure many watery eyes appeared.

But this was the best wedding i've been to ever, simply because i wasn't bored and i guess i had a close relationship to the bride and groom.
