well it's freezing outside (and inside the main entrance of my job) and Haiti has a new president after all the controversy surrounding the elections votes. and now Preval who was President before, from 1996-2001, has a lot of work ahead of him. I read an article last week when the final decision was made and one of his supporters was hopeful listing al the things that will happen, but I felt it was too idealistic. It’s gonna take the rich elite not being selfish and the poor seeing a bigger picture and the paramilitary/gangs putting aside their own ambitions and putting up a giant middle finger to the world community rebuild from the inside together. Then I can see some real change happening. It needs to happen without looking to the world for aid. If Haiti had hit oil, then u would see how many first world countries would be salivating to be partners with Haiti. Screw them.

It might have been overkill to send that song this morning :/ but I was replacing songs on my iPod and trying to see why I wasn't really into Martin Luther and came across this old ass song he put on the album before last. I’m still petrified of coming off as pressuring but this was yet another song that spoke what was on my mind and I guess I just needed to share it. Please know though I want to see you, sometimes in the worse way, but I’m not going to violate or show up unexpected till you give me the word.

And shortly I am heading to a party, Jasper’s lady’s birthday party in an empty apartment in Chelsea. I hope I can enjoy myself because I’ve been feeling blahzay today.
